Mod pizza and Snap pizza are both located on Main Street just minutes from each other. Both are a buffet style pizza making. For both restaurants there are lots of vegetable,
Snap
meats, and sauces to put on your pizza. They both have menus with their basic or suggested pizza combinations. The preset pizzas in both locations are very similar to each other. With both locations being so similar is being up the question of which one is better. Saying which one is better is a personal opinion that depends totally on ones preference. In this blog we will discuss the unarguable differences of these two pizza restaurants. The first thing to discuss is the differences of prizes. For snap a signature pizza(one of the pizzas of the menu) is $7.99. Custom pizzas being $8.99. Kids pizzas are $4.99(one topping). Depending on what size you get Mod pizza prices can vary from 5.87 to 9.87. The next thing that has to be taken in consideration when deciding which one is worth
the money is the size of the pizza. Mod pizza come in three different sizes mini (6in), a Mod (11in), and Mega (11in but double crust). Their “basic”/ common pizza for most people to get. While I could not find the exact size of the pizza, but eating there in the past it is probably 9in-11in. Meaning that snap pizza is a little bit smaller than Mod Pizza. Last thing to consider is what else do they have? If you go out with a group of friends or with your family there is a chance that everyone there is not going to want pizza. Snap also has a variety of grain bowls, salads, and deserts. Mod pizza has salads, garlic strips and cinnamon strips. I did sorted through the yelp reviews for both of the restaurants. Mod pizza has an average of five stars, many of the reviews mentioning that the love the finishing sauces, how the staff is great, the fast moving lines, and the vegan options. Snap pizza has a total 38 reviews with an av
erage of 4.5 stars. The reviews raving about the gluten free crust, the variety of toppings, and how great the pizza is. My favorite of the two is snap pizza, I had snap pizza for the first time last year and have been obsessed with it ever sense. The workers are always nice and the pizza is always delicious. I recommend that you take what I’ve written and decide what your favorite is, but most importantly try both places!!
Viva Bowls is a restaurant that has recently been added to Main streets long list of restaurant choices. It offers acai bowls, smoothies, pitaya bowls, and coffee. The menu includes smoothie bowls with options of acai, pitaya, banana, or green base with varying fruit, granola, and toppings on top. In addition, the atmosphere is vibrant as well as cute and inviting. When you walk in you see a chalkboard to the right to display their menus, as well as lots of posters/ fruit around the store. In addition, they are environmentally friendly selling boxed water and using wooden spoons.
I have a very positive opinion about this café. I am always welcomed by friendly workers. The bowls may be on the pricier side, but are very filling. Furthermore, I would say that the bowls are worth the money. A favorite bowl of mine would have to be the mighty hen. It starts off with an acai base topped with granola, bananas, blueberries, pineapple, and nutella drizzle. Some differences between the acai and pitaya bases are that the acai base tastes like blueberries and strawberries, and is very refreshing. The Pitaya base it dragon fruit and mango, the base does not have as strong of a fruit flavor but is still refreshing. I asked worker Jules Pipinos about what it was like working there and about the food in general.
She confirmed that all the fruit used in bowls and smoothies are fresh and not frozen. All of the fruit is from local markets and cut each day. They clean the store very frequently due to the fact that fruit causes the café to get dirty often. The workers also wear gloves when they are making the bowls so the food and store are sanitary. OnYelpthere is an average 4.5 stars out of 5. There are about 11 reviews having mostly positive thing to say about the café. Trip advisor has only two reviews but both of them being excellent or very good. They have 5 starts for value, food, and service.
